Some thoughts on the Obama regime’s lawsuits against Arizona. Quotes are taken from the suit filed by the Obama regime.
“The nation’s immigration laws reflect a careful and considered balance of national law enforcement, foreign relations, and humanitarian interests.”
Pure Progressive BS. The job of the President is to enforce (execute) the nation’s laws. The Obama regime has failed miserably on this. Our government is bound by the Constitution to protect and defend the rights and interests of US citizens, not the rights and interests of foreign nationals. Of course, even foreign nationals are entitled to certain rights under our Constitution when on US soil, but when the rights and interests of US citizens are at odds with those of foreign nationals (illegal or not) it is the duty of our government and president to side with US citizens. That after all is who they were elected to represent. The Obama regime has taken the opposite view, that the “rights” and interests of foreign nationals – even (especially???) those here illegally – take precedence over the rights and interests of US citizens. Arizona did not pass their law because the because they had a problem with the way the Feds were enforcing US immigration law, they passed it because the Feds aren’t enforcing the law they are Constitutionally bound to enforce.
“A state may not establish its own immigration policy or enforce state laws in a manner that interferes with the federal immigration laws. The Constitution and the federal immigration laws do not permit the development of a patchwork of state and local immigration policies throughout the country.”
This just begs a few of questions. First, if the Obama regime is so concerned with federal immigration laws then why in the hell aren’t they enforcing the laws that are already on the books? Second, how does a state law that mirrors Federal law (except with more protections against racial profiling than Federal law) somehow interfere with Federal law? Finally, if the regime is so worried about “a patchwork of state and local immigration policies throughout the country” then why in the hell aren’t they suing cities that pass “Sanctuary City” ordinances that are in direct violation of Federal immigration law?
I disagree with everything this bastard is trying to do to this country, but one thing he isn’t is stupid. He didn’t file this lawsuit against Arizona because he’s naive and “just wants to help” immigrants. He filed this lawsuit because he wants to destroy Rule of Law in the United States of America. Once that’s done, he and the rest of the Progressives can set up their Communist Utopia. Remember that when it’s time to vote this November.
Sharon Angle needs to moderate her tone

If Sharon Angle expects to beat Harry Reid for Nevada’s Senate seat this November, she needs to moderate her tone. Or to put it another way she needs to improve her communication skills. I’m not saying she needs to compromise her values, she just needs to learn a better way to communicate those values. Here’s an example… say you come home and you wife has prepared dinner. It looks delicious, but when you take the first bite it’s so salty that you almost gag on it. What do you say? Here is one thing you could say -
“What the hell is wrong with you? Don’t you know too much salt is bad for me? Are you trying to kill me? I’m not going to eat it. I bet dog food would taste better than this crap.”
Or, you could put it another way -
“Gee honey, this is a little salty. Is it OK if I make something else for myself? Next time could you please not put salt on it?”
You’re saying the same thing in both cases. Which is more likely to get you what you want though? Ms. Angle needs to learn how to present her ideas the second way, and also in a way that won’t let the media twist her words into sounding like the first way. If she can’t – or won’t – then we’ll be stuck with another 6 years of “dirty Harry” and the only thing that will save our Nation is divine intervention.
Obama Gives the Finger to Veterans

I guess the Dictator is just to busy to pay tribute to America’s veterans. Maybe afterworking tirelessly for almost 18 months to transform the USA from “the last best hope of Freedom” into just another 3rd world, tin-pot dictatorship he needs some R&R. Whatever. Instead of staying in DC to pay tribute to our veterans, he’s going home to Chicago for the weekend. Paying tribute to our veterans will be left to the not so capable mouth of “Plugs” Biden. Obama’s contempt for the country he purports to lead, and the men and women who have ACTUALLY served our (once great) nation is disgusting.

Do you suffer from erectile dysfunction? I’ve got some great news… under the health care reform takeover just passed by Congress, you can get free Viagra or other drugs to treat erectile dysfunction. It doesn’t even matter if you’re a sex offender!!! Do we live in a great country or what? Of course, the evil Republicans tried to force an amendment to the reconciliation bill that would have barred federal funds from being used to buy Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for sex offenders, but the Democrats were able to defeat it. Among other amendments that the Republicans tried to jam through against the clear will of the Socialists running Congress:
- An amendment that would have tolled back cuts to Medicaid. Who the hell are old people to think that they shouldn’t have to sacrifice along with the rest of us?
- An amendment barring tax increases for families earning less than $250K per year. Hey, the government needs your money more than you do, and it’s all for the common good.
- An amendment stripping out state specific spending. Equal protection under the law? Who needs it?
- An amendment requiring the president and other administration officials to purchase health care from exchanges the statute creates. Hey, the political class is to important to be bothered adhering to the laws they impose on the rest of us.
Thankfully, Democrats were able to defeat all of them. The rights of government must be protected against the will of the people, after all. Welcome to Obama’s Amerika.

I am going to predict that Harry Reid will win re-election to the Senate. All polls currently show him losing to EVERY challenger on the ballot, but I’m still predicting that he wins. I don’t even really think it will be all that close. The first reason is because of some misguided thinking among some Nevada Republicans. I know Republicans in Nevada – I talk to them all the time – who agree that Obama is the biggest disaster of a president we’ve ever had. They hate the policies being pushed by the Democrats in Congress (including Reid). They are disgusted with the Senator and deride him as a socialist. And yet… they’re going to vote for him anyway! They have this mistaken assumption that his status as Senate Majority Leader somehow benefits Nevada more than the stupid, immoral Socialist policies he is forcing on the entire country harm Nevada. Lets set aside the fact that he really hasn’t brought home the bacon for Nevada (and even if he had, that shouldn’t be a Senator’s job). Even if he got everyone in Nevada a big pot of gold, this is just stupid thinking. Who cares if Nevada benefits in the short term if the policies being pushed by Reid are sending the entire country to hell in a hand basket in the (not so) long term? Voting for Reid because his leadership status benefits our state is kind of like smoking because it helps us lose weight – it’s FRICKEN’ STUPID because it’s going to kill us. And yet… some Republicans in Nevada are going to vote for him. Fricken’ idiots.

Just saw “Arrest Made in N.J. Walmart ‘All Black People’ Case”. Some guy uses an intercom to insult black people and gets arrested. Obviously he’s an a**hole but does he deserve to be arrested? He didn’t threaten anyone… Meanwhile members of the “New Black Panthers” can intimidate voters, call whites “crackers,” etc. and… no problem. Members of the press and even Congress openly call for the overthrow of our Constitutional Republic, and… nothing. Our government “leaders” think it’s OK to reward people who want to to whatever they want (ie not work) and punish those who actually produce… Can anyone see what is wrong with this picture?????

I don’t want it to happen but it looks like it’s going to happen. I was always taught and I’ve always believed that America was not just a chunk of land but a set of ideals… like Life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of happiness. That may die on Sunday if the HofR votes for ObamaCare. IThe Constitution allows the government to tax me. It does NOT allow the government to prevent me – or anyone – from entering into a private with a doctor or any health care provider. That is what single payer will do though. Make it a crime for you to pay YOUR OWN MONEY for health care that you want. The first time some government asshole denies me or mine health care, well, about 10 seconds later THEIR health is going to take a turn for the worse…

American Dictator Barack Obama has postponed his “Asian trip,” again, to focus on ramming socialized medicine down our throats. He had originally postponed it for 3 days and was scheduled to leave this Sunday, but now it’s been pushed back to June. Must be a really important trip, huh? Well, I guess nothing is important as pushing our country One Giant Leap towards Communism, but I digress…
What I want to know is, is health care “reform” the only reason this got pushed back to June? I remember reading some sob story the first time it got pushed back that his daughters wouldn’t be able to accompany him on the trip because the revised dates didn’t coincide with spring break. Oh, boo hoo hoo… So what does pushing it back to June do? Wow, now his daughters can go again because they’ll be on summer vacation!!! Wonderful, a family vacation… on OUR dime. This prick Obama is living large on OUR money that he thinks HE controls, all the while claiming more and more control over our lives…
I keep hearing that we’re stuck with him for 3 more years. Well, sort of. I also hear calls for impeachment. It will never happen and even if it could I don’t think it’s a good idea for reasons I’ll get into on another post. There is a better way. Make sure the Republicans take back both the House and the Senate. Don’t vote for Tea Party or other 3rd party candidates – that kind of mistake is going to be what gets Reid reelected in Nevada. Vote for Republican candidates.
If the Republicans regain control of both the House and the Senate, wannabe dictator Obama will be powerless to advance his COMMUNIST agenda. With Republicans in control of both chambers, the ministry of propaganda, err, “free press” won’t have such an easy time getting away with their spin and outright lies. Being in control, the Republicans can propose (and propose and propose and propose) legislation that solves problems and is NOT un-Constitutional, and the Communists, err, Democrats won’t be able to block it. Obama can veto any legislation the Republicans pass, but it won’t do any him or the Democrats any good…
I can think of no better punishment for Obama than that – to sit in office, powerless to advance his radical agenda, no chance of being reelected, held in contempt by the people he thought he was going to lead. Much better than being made a political martyr by impeachment.

Hugo Chavez, that is “elected leader” of Venezuela, has been in power for 11 years. How have citizens fared in his utopian, socialist worker’s paradise? According to Reuters, the murder rate in Venezuela has quadrupled under Chavez’ rule. Go figure. It makes perfect sense though. Look at the USA. What areas of our country have the highest crime rates? The areas under the control of liberal “progressive” Democrats. Conservative areas of the country have less crime. I guess there’s something to say about rule of law. As for Venezuela, according to Chavez the problem is because of wealth inequalities caused by former governments. Yeah, right. You’ll see the same thing here as the Democrats impose more and more “progressive” laws on us. And just as in Venezuela, they’ll blame the resulting breakdown in law and order on “problems caused by former governments.” In other words everything bad from now until eternity is Bush’s fault.

My sister, a koolaid-drinking Obamassiah supporter and a “proud” progressive tells me that “progressives” (I think “regressive” is much more descriptive) want “good” government, not “more” government. She also claims to believe in personal liberty and she thinks non-”progressives” just aren’t quite smart enough to see all the good that the Obamassiah will do for us if we’d just let him. Let’s see…
If “progressives” are so smart, why do they need government health care? Aren’t they smart enough to provide it for themselves? Also, if Obama the Annointed One is so smart, how come he couldn’t get it passed when the Communists… err… Democrats had a super-majority in the Senate? Isn’t he supposed to be the smartest person ever to be President, maybe even the smartest person in the history of the human race?
I could go on and on about things that these so called progressives “need” government to provide for them – things that ordinary Americans have somehow managed to get without government intervention and control – and I will. “Progressives” aren’t progressive and they sure as hell aren’t smart. They are leaches who depend on those of us who actually produce things.
