Narcissist in Chief

In his first ever address to the UN General Assembly, American dictator Barack Hussein Obama used the opportunity to once again slam the United States, the country he was ostensibly elected to lead. Well, he’s leading us alright – to hell in a hand basket. According to Obama, nothing about this country has been right or good until he got elected. For example, did you know that before Obama, the US openly advocated torture? Thank God that Obama, on his first day in office, prohibited the practice. Those poor defenseless terrorists, you know (if only he cared about the rights of senior citizens in the US to seek whatever health care they can afford)… I have to admit that it was comforting to here him say
I come before you humbled by the responsibility that the American people have placed upon me, mindful of the enormous challenges of our moment in history, and determined to act boldly and collectively on behalf of justice and prosperity at home and abroad.
OK Mr. President, then how about promoting some justice here at home? You could start out by telling your Attorney General, Eric “Free Marc Rich” Holder to stop his political witch hunt against the CIA heroes who helped protect this country from terrorist attacks during the past 8 years. While you’re at it, how about bringing up the issue of letting members of The New Black Panther Party get away with voter intimidation during the last election?
And what about the statement that “power is no longer a zero-sum game?” If he really believes that, why does he seem to think that the only way to lift other nations up is to tear his own country down? If it’s not a zero sum game, then we can soar as high as we want, as can other nations. According to Obama, however, we (the US) need to be taken down a few notches in order for other countries to be elevated.
He also believes (or so he says) that the US is no better than other countries, and worse than many. Excuse me? The US has done more to promote the cause of freedom in the world than any other country in history. Of course, to an authoritarian like Obama, that probably is a bad thing.
Obama is an embarrasment. If he holds such a low view of this country, he should resign. Contrary to what he said in his speach, he seems to think this is all about him. For a so-called Constitutional scholar, he seems awfully ignorant of the principles embodied in our Constitution. The purpose of government in this country is to promote life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. Mr. Obama’s objective seems to be promoting involuntary servitude to government. Maybe that’s why he sides with regimes like Iran, Russia, and Venezuela while slamming allies like Isreal and Great Britain.
