Aren’t Progressives Supposed to be Smart?

My sister, a koolaid-drinking Obamassiah supporter and a “proud” progressive tells me that “progressives” (I think “regressive” is much more descriptive) want “good” government, not “more” government. She also claims to believe in personal liberty and she thinks non-”progressives” just aren’t quite smart enough to see all the good that the Obamassiah will do for us if we’d just let him. Let’s see…

If “progressives” are so smart, why do they need government health care? Aren’t they smart enough to provide it for themselves? Also, if Obama the Annointed One is so smart, how come he couldn’t get it passed when the Communists… err… Democrats had a super-majority in the Senate? Isn’t he supposed to be the smartest person ever to be President, maybe even the smartest person in the history of the human race?

I could go on and on about things that these so called progressives “need” government to provide for them – things that ordinary Americans have somehow managed to get without government intervention and control – and I will. “Progressives” aren’t progressive and they sure as hell aren’t smart. They are leaches who depend on those of us who actually produce things.

Obama to America: F@&* You

Yesterday, American dictator Barack Hussein “Barry” Obama was at his arrogant best:

“The truth of the matter is that politically speaking, there may not be any reason for Republicans to want to do anything,” Obama said, summing up. “I don’t need a poll to know that most Republican voters are opposed to this bill and might be opposed to the kind of compromise we could craft.

“And if we can’t,” he added, “I think we’ve got to go ahead and some make decisions, and then that’s what elections are for. “

In other words, we know the voters don’t like this, but screw them. We’re going to ram this through any way and if they don’t like it they can try to vote us out of office.”

The arrogance is stunning. Sorry Mr. President, that’s how things work in a dictatorship, not how things are supposed to work in a democratic Republic. So not screw us, Mr. Obama, but FUCK YOU.

Rush Limbaugh Compares Undocumented Workers to Dogs

Well, actually he doesn’t. On his show today though he had a piece on how the (once great) city of Los Angeles is considering cracking down on owners of unlicensed dogs in order to raise revenue. I guess it costs $15 to register a sterilized dog in LA and $100 for an unsterilized dog and the city “needs” the money. Somehow the City Counsil president seems to have a good idea of how many unlicensed dogs there are in LA, so at the end of the piece Mr. Limbaugh says “… look, they seem to know exactly how many dogs are unlicensed, but they can’t give us a relatively close number on the number of illegals that are in Los Angeles.”

Of course all he means is why does the LA City Council know so much about something that is really, stupidly unimportant but knows nothing (or at least they won’t ‘fess up to knowing) about something that really IS important? You watch though. Today is Wed, Feb 24 2010. By the end of the week, at least one Libtard blogger is going to pick up on this and accuse Limbaugh of comparing illegals to dogs. My sister is a Libtard and I know how they “think.”

Obama Proposal Would Screw Insurance Companies

Well, “our” genius President has another STUPID proposal: give the government the power to regulate rate increases on health insurance policies. His proposal would give the federal Health and Human Services Department — in conjunction with state authorities — the power to deny substantial premium increases, limit them, or demand rebates for consumers.

Guess what, GENIUS??? If you don’t allow companies to charge enough money to make a profit, THEY WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS. You have to wonder if Obama knows one damn thing about how businesses operate. Unlike the Federal government, private businesses can’t just raise taxes or print more money to cover losses. Does Obama understand this? Unfortunately I think he does. He wants to make points with angry voters AND force private health care insurers out of business. For him, it’s a win-win. For the rest of us, well, we’re just screwed if this passes.

One week, Two left wing whackos lose it…

First we had Amy Bishop, a left wing whacko who lost it and shot six colleagues when denied tenure at her school. How do I know she’s a left wing whacko? Buried deep in only one article, I read she’s “Obsessed with President Obama” to the point of being off-putting. I work at a community college and people in academia tend to be liberal – very liberal in fact. If she was off-putting even to a liberal community, she must have really been off the deep end.

Then, yesterday Joseph Stack flies his airplane into an office building. The radio reports I heard yesterday tried to spin him as hating the IRS – you know, one of those right wing nut jobs that doesn’t want to pay taxes? Well, it turns out the reason he hates the IRS is because according to him chuches (I’m assuming he means any tax exempt church) don’t pay enough in taxes. His suicide note included an interesting statement:

“Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer,” the note continued. ” … The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.”

So not only did this guy think organized religion should not be tax exempt (a common tenant of the far left), he thought the communist creed is good and the so-called capitalist creed is bad. On top of that he concluded that “violence is the answer.” Can anyone say “Bill Ayers?” This guy is (was) a far-left loony but no one in the press is reporting this. If he was a right wing whacko, would Conservatives be getting a free pass from the press. I don’t think so.

Are “Progressives” repressed?

First we had Chris Mathews and his leg tingles. Then “progressives” started using an obscene sexual slur to refer to people in the Tea Party movement. Their latest favorite bit of cleverness seems to be “handjob-gate” – Sarah Palin supposedly reading from notes written on her. What’s up with that? Why do “progressives” feel the need to use sexual slurs as a way to put down Conservatives? At first I thought it was just an attempt to be clever. My ex-sister is a “progressive” and she sure thinks she’s clever. To her credit of course, she thinks all “progressives” are clever, and conservatives are stupid (or worse – in spite of the fact that we somehow manage to pay our own utility bills… but that’s a lesson for another time…)

Anyway, I got to thinking about it and I’m convinced that “progressives” and other liberals are repressed. Nothing else seems to explain it. I know conservatives have the reputation of being prudes. I know “progressives” are “tolerant” and all that crap. Think about it though… who is happy and who isn’t happy? All the “progressives” I know are ALWAYS unhappy. Most of the conservatives I know are happy most of the time. So tell me… what makes people happy?

I’ll concede one thing to the libtards… humans are in fact sexual beings. We have needs. It’s hard to feel happy when those needs aren’t being met. When those needs are being met it’s hard to be UN happy. My needs are being met. Most conservatives I know are happy most of the time so I assume their needs are being met, at least most of the time. On the other hand, “progressives” and other libtards are always angry about something, worrying about what someone else said or did, making up cheap sexual puns, etc. Hmmm, maybe they’re not getting enough? Maybe they’re not “progressive,” but repressed?

Is Liberalism a Form of Mental Illness?

Sometimes I wonder. Last night the State of Massachusetts elected their first Republican to Congress in 38 years. His entire platform seemed to be “vote for me and I’ll defeat Obamacare.” In the days leading up to the election, many prominent Democrats including Presidents Clinton and Obama himself campaigned for Martha Coakley, the Democratic candidate. It wasn’t enough. Scott Brown, the Republican, won the seat. Not just any seat either – the seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy, the “Liberal Lion.” How did the left respond? With introspection? Self examination? Not exactly:

According to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, Brown won because voters are upset at GOP obstructionism, not the Democrat’s agenda. So let me see if I get this… voters are upset at the GOP, so they punish the GOP by electing a GOP Senator? I think Mr. Hoyer needs to call his therapist.

Howard Dean thinks the election is a sign that Democrats should stop working with the GOP. Excuse me doctor, when in the past 3-1/2 years have the Democrats been “working with the GOP?” They spent 2007 and 2008 trying to destroy the Bush presidency, and all of 2009 shutting Republicans entirely out of the legislative process. Quick, call your shrink – you’re delusional.

Keith Oblerman thinks Brown won because the Massachusetts voters are racist and don’t want a black President to succeed. Huh? Since when does opposing Socialism and authoritarianism equate with racism, unless Keith Olberman thinks that blacks are too stupid to get through life without a nany state government. Is Olberman projecting?

These are oppinions from “main stream” liberals. The rants on liberal blogs were much worse, some very offensive and vile stuff out there. The only conclusion I can come to is that yes, liberalism is a mental illness.

Nevada is not Massachusetts

Republicans, Conservatives, and others who value liberty and reject authoritarian, statist, “collectivist” government have a great reason to be happy tonight. Scott Brown’s election in Massachusetts shows that even people in a liberal state are finally catching on to what Obama and his “progressive” (actually REgressive) allies in Congress are trying to do to this (once) great country. I’m really happy about Senator Brown’s victory but I don’t think it means a cake walk for other Republican candidates, even in states a lot more conservative than Massachusetts. I’m especially worried about my adopted home state of Nevada. I hate Harry Reid and the policies he is trying his best to impose on us. In a state that is further to the right than most of our center-right country, Harry “Pelosi” Reid pushes a radical left wing agenda that is bad for Nevada, bad for the country, and bad for anyone who values liberty and freedom. Don’t know why he does it, but he does, so he NEEDS TO BE DEFEATED in this year’s election. The problem is… take your pick:

  1. The Republican Party is too fractured in Nevada. There are something like 8 Republican candidates (or more?) running in the primary. Do we really need this many? IMHO, if the Republican candidates really cared about defeating Reid’s agenda, couldn’t they get together and agree on 1 or 2 candidates to run in the primary? If they can’t hang together, then surely they (and Nevada voters) will hang separately.
  2. There is a very real danger that a conservative or libertarian will run as a third party candidate. In Massachusetts this didn’t matter because not enough voters are of that bent to have an effect in a general election. In Nevada, that’s not the case. A conservative or libertarian candidate would strip enough votes away from the Republican candidate to ensure a victory for Reid.
  3. Too many useful idiots think that Nevada having our Senator as majority leader somehow benefits Nevada. Never mind that we get only .63 of every dollar in Federal taxes we pay, or that we got less than 1% of the stimulus money, or that Senator Reid pushes policies that most Nevadans disagree with, gee, he’s the majority leader… So what???

David Axelrod, scumbag

David Axelrod, scumbag

Would you buy a used car from this guy? I wouldn’t even SELL a used car to him. Never the less, here is David Axelrod promising that Federal dollars will indeed be used to fund abortions. After all, wouldn’t want to change the status quo. Except I thought the status quo was that Federal money is not used to pay for abortions. Hmmm… At least Obama is finally going to stand up for something. I wonder if this is the “hope and change” the so-called moderate voters were expecting? I wonder how Bart Stupak must be feeling right now? He wanted to help the false Messiah pass health care, so he added an ammendment to the bill that the (false) Messiah said he supported (no Federal dollars for abortion), and now the false Messiah throws him under the bus. “Thanks for the help, now f**k you very much.” At least Obama is finally showing everyone what a left wing ut-job he is. I just hope people are paying attention.

Obama’s Post-racial Amerika

If this would have been a white male hitting a black female, it would have made national headlines:

I’m wondering what happened to all that “hope and change.” Wasn’t Obama’s coronation supposed to end racial strife in this country? Does Obama think that Professor McIntyre acted stupidly? Maybe he’s too distracted trying to decide which golf course to play on next…
